I’m looking over some footage that was shot with a 5DMII and I’m seeing white flashes, almost like a few frames of color solid in the footage/throughout clips. It’s in every single clip. I did not shoot the footage so I have no clue what these even are, but if anyone knows I would really appreciate it!

    Thanks!

Open the files in Quicktime…see them there too?

Are these the H.264 originals? Or ProRes conversions?

Just checked and the originals seem okay, it’s actually the ProRes files that are messed up. Looking through the transcoded folder now and the only clips where this is happening has their thumbail as a white frame, which is odd. Something must’ve happened through transcoding, but now that I know which clips they are, I can try and re-do them.

    Thanks.

Maybe they had a ghostly encounter?

How are you transcoding to ProRes? I humbly recommend 5D to RGB. I have nothing to do with the company but I find it works the best. L&T in FCP7 is very spotty.
