Could someone point in the right direction as to how to white balance , or where to access tutorials on white balancing. I have filmed footage with a Sony NXCAM HXR NX70P that had not been no white balanced and the footage is very blue.

I have Adobe Creative Cloud and da Vinci Resolve 12.5 so any help on how to in these would be appreciated.

Here’s a screen grab of the footage:

    Thanks

You can use the lift/gamma/gain controls/curves/offsets/whatever to push the needed area color to the opposite color.

Thanks Tero. I working on all those settings but the challenge I’m encountering is getting the skin tone right.

Depending on how badly it was shot you can only fix it up to a point where it works.

Depending on your version of Resolve, many colorists with a Photoshop background find the “Temperature” slider in the Color Page, Color Wheels, “2”” dialog to be helpful. This is essentially a mired shift slider that will try to reposition the kelvin white point of your scene. There is also a tint slider that might help you with the midtones if the flesh value starts popping up with the amount of —>3200K that you are pushing into the mix.
