I need to composite the people shot against white backgrounds in a spot for the web. BAckground has to be white w NO color shift, or even texture in the background.

I decided to key out the white. so I could have my own neautral white. Looked great. Compression looked great on my desktop monitor..but on a laptop you can see compression banding from the falloff of the key..but only on a laptop monitor.

    Any suggestions?

Are your video and chroma levels broadcast safe?

We have had compression fall apart with material that wasn’t broadcast safe nor was it intended for broadcast. The compression problem has been solved by going back in and looking at everything on a waveform monitor and vectorscope and making the appropriate adjustments with two filters.
We apply broadcast safe first and then levels.

Could the laptop display be set brighter or adjusted in a way that is causing this?
