Which ProRes for which situation
Hi which ProRes format makes since to create a Delivery for the Customer (Mainly Internet and Mobile) and Archive?
We have been debating between ProRes 422 and ProRes 442 HQMost of the footage we receive is MXF from Sony for example, GoPro, DSLR and the standard flavours.
Once a blue moon we will receive RED footage.Thanks

Personally I use HQ for this.

I tend to stick with ProRes 422 unless what I’m archiving is headed for projection on large screens and might benefit from the extra bitrate. But really, if you have the storage space, there’s no harm in going for the highest you can.
