Posted by Michael Morgenstern on February 26, 2014 at 3:55 pmHi all,
Question should be fairly self-explanatory. Thanks!!

February 26, 2014 at 8:22 pm“Track Grade” is an Uber-correction/LUT, so I have always assumed it was an exit correction.
Would it make sense to apply some kind of destructive restrictions in a non-visible node while you were grading clips? An overall log conversion or LUT should not impair your ability to start with what are the native values associated with an individual clip.

March 2, 2014 at 2:42 amI’ve only used the Track Grade one time–when I had my monitor calibrated while I was in the middle of a couple projects, and needed to get them back to where they were. My monitor was slightly off (a little bright, a little blue), but my clients were happy with my work to that point. I made one node to bring down the luma & blue tone slightly and no one could tell the difference.
