  • Which effect has been applied?

    Hello

I picked up an animation that my colleague did in order to keep working on it while she was away.

I cant figure out which effect was applied to an object and I wondered whether there was a way in which this can be revealed? It is a text enter in animation but there aren’t any in the presets that look similar and she didn’t create it herself, so how do I find out which one was applied?

Is there an equivalent of the Illustrator appearance panel in AE?

    Thanks,

    C

Hi, you can see previews by using Adobe Bridge. In my PC the path is: Desktop >Windows (C)>Program Files>Adobe>Adobe After Effects>Support Files>Presets>Text. Select the desired folder and then click on any preset and it will show in the preview window.

Thanks for your response. I had already checked the preset previews in bridge but it doesn’t resemble any of them as it may have been edited after application. There’s no way of seeing what effects been applied if it doesn’t refer to it in the drop down properties of the object?

    Thanks again for your help
