Which college to choose?
Hi!
I’m a 21 y.o. guy from Czech Republic, living as a professional graphic designer & animator since about four years ago. And I can’t draw, even an apple :o))
I would like to try studying film & tv animation and VFX and I am wondering which university would be the best for me. I’ve already studied multimedia in Czech Republic, but haven’t finished BA (too much well-paied work, boring school :o), now I wanna move on…If any school (speaking of undergraduate studies) seems interesting to me, it’s Academy of Arts University in San Francisco, with its Animation & Visual Effects program.
The question is – do you guys think it’s a good choice? Or know about something better for me? And if any of these – do you have some experiences with this specific university/program?Thx 4 all replies ;o)

I asked this question a while back and an ex-professor told me that the AAU in SF didn’t come recommended. There is another school that I have heard great things about and I think it was S.C.A.D.

Are you sure you want to go back to school? You may want to consider doing an internship to gain practical experience and see if you really want to enter this new field.
