Which app do you use when recording your tutorials?
Hello Everyone,
I manage a community outreach program out of the Queens Museum of art in NY, and we do a lot of computer courses in various languages free to the public.

https://www.queensmuseum.org/events/spanishMy question is this: I want to record the lessons and post them on our website and I am looking for an application that can record the instructors’ desktop, voice AND keystrokes. At least the hot keys they use.
I notice this is all over the CCow tutorials, but I can’t seem to hit on an app that will display the hot keys and shortcuts the instructor uses.Any suggestions?

ScreenFlow very good Shane. iShowU is excellent too as it doesn’t require post processing, which ScreenFlow does, but ScreenFlow has more capabilities.

The most recent FCP podcasts use iShowUHD. It can record to Pro-Res, which has been a total win for us. It’s also got some interesting options we occasionally play with, the green circle around mouse clicks being one, and it says it does record hotkeys, etc, but we generally don’t turn that option on.

I think I will probably go with iShowU(HD).Were in the process of putting a website together to collect the digital stories that our program participants are creating.
