Is this a situation on my end or the mixers end?

I am getting ProTools OMF’s returned from a mixer and all the levels are coming in flat. His levels are not translating in FCP. Is that something native to AD, or did we botch this up somewhere?

I never get an OMF back from my ProTools guy. He just gives me the AIFF mix files.

I send OMFs to him, but I only get the mixes back from him in audio file format.

Yup, what he said. Never ever received OMFs from audio guys, always AIFF files…when I work on Avid and FCP. Or we output the picture and send the tape to them for layback. But I never get OMFs.

I have Pro Import so I can receive the OMF back from Pro Tools. I have a project that had to have some post audio mix cuts and want to keep things streamlined.
