  • Where is the resizing border on my images?

Posted by Martin Kruul on March 7, 2016 at 10:20 am

Just recently updated to the most recent After Effects version. When I used to add an image to my compositions, it would have a border around it that I could resize it with. Now the border isn’t there. Anyone know how to bring this back?

These layer controls are called handles. You can toggle the display of layer controls with Ctrl+Shift+H (PC) or Cmd+Shift+H (Mac), or under the View menu.

You can further control what layer controls are visible with the View Options dialog, accessible by selecting a viewer panel then pressing Ctrl+Alt+U (PC) or Cmd+Opt+U (Mac), or under the View menu.
