I have the entire FCP Suite….so shouldn’t the mpeg-2 codec show up under the Quicktime Conversion options? both my FCP and DVD Studio Pro 4 are registered. any help is much appreciated.

Doing a search on these forums will yield fast results as this topic has been discussed quite a few times in the past few months. The Export to MPEG-2 is gone with FCP 5 / QT 7.

Either use the Export to Compressor, or Export a reference Quicktime Movie and then bring that into Compressor. I find the latter to be faster as Compressor is much slower with FCP running in the background.
