Activity Forums Adobe Premiere Pro Where is color finnese?

Are you asking about the version included in Production Premium or the Master Collection?

If so, then it’s in After Effects and attempting to apply it to a clip and view its interface should (grain of salt) get you where you need.

I recalled doing this on a retail copy of CS5, but the volume licensed versions don’t prompt the end user for the CF serial so I’m not 100% positive.

Color Finesse is not an application. It is a plug-in for After Effects.

    What version?

If CS5, make sure that you’ve installed the recent updates:

If you do so, you won’t need to worry about the Color Finesse serial number at all. We removed the need for a separate Color Finesse serial number.

    Todd,

That would explain why with CS5 we saw it and CS5.5 we didn’t (and not the retail vs. volume license link I proposed.)

    Thanks!

    It’s very simple:

We removed the need for a separate serial number.

Open After Effects. Apply the Color Finesse plug-in to a layer. If Color Finesse asks for the serial number, enter it. And then tell me. Because it shouldn’t be doing so.

I can’t find anything in a/e that says color finnese. I just see various color correction tools whihc I have opened but nothing calles “Finnese” nor asking for s/n/.

You’re spelling it wrong. It’s ‘Finesse’. Enter that in the search field of the Effects & Presets panel.

Again, this isn’t something that you need to worry about if you’ve installed the latest updates. We no longer require entry of that serial number.

Just tried it out. When you apply the effect to video, it asks that you register. If you don’t, then it goes into trial mode and it won’t ask you again till you restart AE.

No request for a serial number, though it’s on my box which I just got 2 days ago.
