Where do I put new transition files?

You are not installing an application. Place the Alpha Transitions folder somewhere on your hard drive. When you want to use them, place the Alpha Transition (Effects/Video Transitions/Wipe/Alpha Transition) between two clips. Double click the transition. Drop the files into the wells.

I know its not like installing an app – I just thought that they had to go into a specific “transitions” folder.

So I just put them somewhere accessible, and ‘file>import” them when I need them?

I have a questions about alpha transitions and favoriteing it.

I wanted to favorite the lens flare transition from the new alpha transitions. But if I don’t load the folder called Alpha Transition that I downloaded from apple, each time I dropped the favorite transition to the time line, it says media off line.

Is there a way I don’t have to repeat adding the folder in the browser for each project every time? It seems a bit tiresome…
