    Hi all:

I have a PC with a system drive (C:) and two media drives striped together as RAID 0. I use the latter for my media clips, as well as my render files (G:). However, the media cache database is still in the default location that Premiere puts it into, in C:.

For better performance, would it be advisable to move the media cache DB to my media RAID drive? On the one hand, I’d have everything (media clips, render files and media cache) being read from that one drive, which isn’t good; on the other hand, that one drive is a striped RAID 0… I don’t see clear arguments one way or another, which is why I’m asking here for people’s collective experience.

I tend to put it on the media drives, faster performance, etc…
