    maybe you should add a little white cow on that frame!
    might get a little laugh from the technicians

    I have been using colour bars on 1 frame for the past few weeks
    all you need is something which is noticeable compared to the black frames around it. this was to check sync on upconverted SD to HD material (lots of frame delays can happen with upconversion. a pop 2 sec before programme start can be used, I know an audio mixer friend who says 10seconds. they have a nice explanation as well in the new

    and a beep on every single channel of audio which is being used at the hz rate you have been asked for

    when I have been checking synch I also found outputting a countdown clock and asking a Kona card to output quicktime timecode overlays was useful as I could see exactly from the tape how many seconds it was off, it is useful to recapture from the tape to properly check this however
