Posted by David Distinti on May 16, 2005 at 2:20 pm

I need to block all natural light from coming in through our location’s windows.

I understand sheets of mylar will do the trick. Where can I find it and what type of
    mylar should I request.

    Also,

If mylar is expensive, is there a cheeper alternative?

    Thanks,
    Dave

A “cheeper” alternative would be a flock of baby chickens.

A cheaper alternative would be standard construction material black plastic.

For Mylar, take a look at TAP Plastics (https://www.tapplastics.com). I’ve ordered from them a couple of times and they were good. They have mylar rolls (mirrored and clear) you can order.

Mylar is usually fairly expensive and traditionally used for its mirror-like surface. If you don
