Rounding up a good set of distributors is your best bet….however you’d get sick to your stomach once you here what their budget is per title.

Interesting Eric. Where does one look for these distributors? And could you give me a ballpark idea of the budgets you refer to? Makes me wonder if its worth pursuing now.

There are tons of distributors who buy rights to films and release on DVD. you’ll have to google and start cold calling

Honestly, unless you have a large portfolio of titles, they won’t even consider you.

DVD is still around but more and more are watching Netflix and the like. When was the last time you bought a DVD? 🙂

I had a client one time who wanted a small trivia game authored….a weeks worth of work for $200

That was good for a laugh.

I produced DVDs for several years but have since moved on to bigger and better

Eric, “bigger & better”? I’m sure you don’t men BD but I much prefer giving my film to someone for viewing on a DVD or BD. This urge to watch stuff on a computer is soul destroying to those that go to so much trouble creating nice looking material. Also, discs are so convenient, they’re actual, in your hand, can be played as and when on a good screen, either electronic or projected.

It’s people like Apple who seek the demise of discs, they have their own agenda but that doesn’t mean we have to follow like sheep.
