  • where did the XDCAM EX format option go?

I’ve been working on a project that was shot as XDCAM EX 1080p 25. i had to put that aside and work a bit on another DV PAL project
today when I went back to the XDCAM project I opened the sequence and noticed that I had to render! I went to easy set up to make sure the project is set to XDCAM EX but I coudn’t find that option in the menu!! only XDCAM HD!

i trashed preferences but nothing changed, still don’t have that option!
    am I missing anything here?

I would also appreciate any help on getting this codec. I just installed the latest version of FCP and have QT7.6 installed. I have OSX 10.411, so theoretically xdcam-ex should be in my settings.

I have xdcam-hd and about 50 others but no xdcam-ex.

    Experts, please reply.

    Thanks

No need to respond to this question. I downloaded the most recent version of Final Cut Studio (FCP6.0.5) and all the EX codecs were included. Now I can actually use the .MOV files created in camera by the new JVC camera.
