    Hey

I have been told about a proxy version of the prores422 codec which should enable working with HD files in a lighter footprint.

Now i just cant find that prores422 proxy or prores422 LT codecs anywhere in my export options. Do they not work in FCP 6.0.6 ??

    Best wishes

They come with FCP 7, my friend. Sorry.

    Ahh dam. :0).

I am thinking about upgrading anyway but not sure. Those codecs looks interesting though since a specific problem i have is editing hd on a macbookk in multicam mode so a codec with a light footprint for editing, and then reconnecting to original files would come in very handy.

Do you know if this is possible with those 422 l codecs ??

    Hey Jakob
The new full raster low data rate ProRes Proxy codec, is absolutely ideal for an offline/online workflow.
    Highly recommended for your needs.
