I recently tried to do the tutorial Flying Through The Clouds, which was done with AE 5, and I just got AE 6.5 Pro, so I got stuck in the tutorial when I couldn’t find the effect Boris Clouds. I’m completely new to AE and find the learning curve a little steep. Am I missing something? Is Boris Clouds some kind of separate plug in I have to get somewhere else?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

boris clouds is a third party effect from borisfx.com (i believe it is sold only as part of an effects package called boris continuum complete). however, ae’s fractal noise effect is very similar, so you might try that.

    Thanks Kevin!

Nothing like a quick answer to set me on my way. So much software, so little time…

    Take it easy,
