  • where are audio meters during live view?

Posted by Larry Watts on March 22, 2010 at 12:05 am

I just installed the latest firmware today on the Canon 5D mark II and did a wireless lav audio test.

I expected to see the meters on the screen when recording but did not. I adjusted audio in the menu settings, but even when I set them to the lowest amount it was too hot. (Set to manual)

Anyone know where to get the scoop on this?

Can the audio be set and viewed in the live view/record mode?

    Thanks

I do not think so. but, at least the sound can be seen on the audio meter at start up and it alerts you to the connection of (in our case the very good Australian made RODE STEREO Mike )and it makes sure you have turned it on, which was a fatal mistake on the pre 2.0.4 Firmware. The audio has gone from 44Mhz to 48 mhz and is very good.It would be preferable for a live audio meter on record, but, not so.

The out put to Premiere Pro in 1920 x 1080p is stunning.
