I’m talkin HD here fyi…Most of my green work has been commercials where it’s short form enough and involves little enough people on green that we can do the whole kit and caboodle in AFX. However I’m doing some industrials for a company which are more people-focused that’s making editing green shots in Premiere (I am an NLE newbie) a necessity. I like after effects keylite and primatte depending on the situation, so my question is when and where do you guys do your keys if you are editing green in Premiere (or whatever)? I really hate having to recompress anything ever (before output) and can’t sleep the next night if I ever have to. But I would still like to be able to edit in Premiere in real-time. Does this take some sort of proxy trickery or seperate alpha-channels or what? I just don’t know about this side of things!

    Thanks,
    Devin
