  • When super-imposed text disappears image jumps?

Posted by Gavin Williams on August 29, 2012 at 7:14 pm

I have my final edit, I then create a new sequence and drop the finished edit sequence into the new sequence and put some text atop the opening scene. As the text ends the image jumps almost like it is repeating a frame?? Driving me crazy?? Anyone help on this?

Are you sure the sequence was rendered?

    Yep – it’s definitely rendered

Did you try quitting, trashing preferences, trashing renders and re-rendering, restarting, etc.?

If you export that section, does the jump happen in your quicktime?

This is my 1st question as well. Also, did you try supering the text as a .PNG/.PSD file?

What are your sequence settings (codec, frame rate etc) and what are your clip settings?

An educated guess is that you might be using a non FCP edit codec like h264.

    Wrong frame ordering possibly?
