When multiple items are selected, clicking on one of them makes it bold….
What does that do exactly? I’ve tried searching but I don’t know what this specific feature is called, or what it can do.

It means that you can then align items to the selected (bold) object without that object moving.

Oh my god thank you for your reply! That’s a very handy feature! I had asked my coworkers but none of them knew and they are all avid Illustrator users. Thanks again!
