  • When importing .dpx files, Vegas gives me 120 frames of the same image

My VFX guy requested I send all the shots I needed him to work on as .dpx files. I gave him these, and he sent me back the modified shots as .dpx files as well. But when I import them into Vegas 12, each .dpx file is repeated 120 times, making a five-second clip. I only want one frame per .dpx file. Although I can take one frame from each clip, it is very time consuming and I’d like to know how I can bring in each .dpx file as one frame.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Did you import them as images, or as an image sequence?
When importing an image sequence you select the first image of the sequence and click the check box telling Vegas to import a sequence.

Are all the images sequentially numbered like when Vegas exports an image sequence?

Okay, just followed your advice and it worked perfectly.

    Thanks, Norman!
