Basically I want to use it to smoothen out handheld footage but when it’s finished, the footage has a black crop border going around the whole picture. I tried different warp stabilizer settings, and it still keeps ending up with it. Does anyone know how to fix this, or what the problem could be?

Thanks for any input. I really appreciate it!

Warp Stabilizer should automatically scale up the footage to fill the screen. Did the Preserve Scale parameter get checked by accident? There is also an Auto-scale section under the Borders twirl down. Maybe something got changed there?

No those were not checked. I applied it three times and all the three times, this has happened now. Could you tell me what the settings should be exactly?
