When FCPX Render Fails
What are my options to get a Project rendered out to an MP4 when I get this error message:
The share operation “Master File” has failed.
Video rendering error: -50 (Final Cut Pro error -50: renderVideoFrame failed)Advice??????????
I also get the the following message when I start the Share to MP4, and nothing is showing in the Background Tasks window.
“” has background tasks that are not yet complete.
If you continue, these effects may be missing or have reduced quality: StabilizationAdvice ????

My first thought would be to delete all the render files and try again.

Can occur when there’s a bad piece of source media- but yeah blowing away renders will probably clear this out.

I did delete all rendered files, toggled the codec, let it rebuild the needed rendered files and my Shared MP4 was processed completely.

For next time, there’s no reason to render first, you can share without rendering.

I have not always found that to be the case, Jeremy. As you can see in my question above.
