When Clicking Audio Track Speaker Icon, Playhead Goes to End of Sequence?

I have not seen nor heard anyone reporting this. Have you tried clearing your prefs?

When launching Premiere hold down the following keys until the splash screen appears.

For the Mac, press Shift+Option
For the PC, press Shift+Alt

I trashed preferences but problem continues.

Describing the problem further:

I have a clip on the timeline with audio filters applied to the clip. If I play the clip and then toggle a filter on or off the playhead will quickly jump to the end of the timeline. Very frustrating.

Would appreciate any suggestions?
