Of course it’s worth it. You have to factor it into the retail price, as far as I’m concerned.

October 9, 2006 at 4:12 amI had a G4 quicksilver dual 1 gig go south on me less than one month before the 3-year applecare extended warranty expired. An internal fan had failed and due to this almost every component inside the box got fried. They gave me a free loaner and replaced the motherboard, the power supply, the hard drive, the ram, the super drive etc. I virtually got a new machine. While I was at it I brought in my cinema display and that too was covered. They replaced the broken USB ports and got a bug (literally) out of the case. They even transferred my files over to the loaner and then back again when I picked up my Mac, so I didn
