What’s Your Favorite NLE Mouse ?

Up until recently, I was just a two button mouse person – but I have stated using the Wacom Bamboo with touchpad capabilities and can now use the pen and my two middle fingers on my right hand (I’m right handed) to easily switch in one movement between pen and swipe type operations combining the best of both worlds. Only slow down is for typing – I want to try the embedded speech to text on OS X, but I don’t think it works within Media Composer. Would be nice for quick logging.

I just tried the speech to text native to OS X within Media Composer, and it worked just fine. Clicked on the field for text entry, hit “fn” key twice, spoke, clicked done, and voila.

Just switched to a Logitech M510 wireless mouse (claims a two year battery life for each battery) after my last logitech had the paint rubbing off after several years of use. It’s my first wireless mouse (and I bought the solar powered logitech silver mac keyboard which apparently never needs a battery change) as I wanted the clean look because I just mounted my two 24 inch monitors on Ergotron arms and wanted the space under them to be completely clutter free. Helps me think better during crunch time to have my space clean. Off topic but the Ergotron LX monitor arms have changed my life, I highly recommend them to anyone who sits in front of their computer all day…
