What’s with these ads for Continuum Units?
Posted by Dan Riley on October 10, 2008 at 3:30 amAre these plug ins part of my $900 package or not?
Is Boris wanting me to pay $100 more for this and $150 more for that?
Is the lens flare that’s in my BCC 5.0 the one they are promoting
or is this some new version I can only get with another $100?Dan

October 10, 2008 at 1:11 pmHi Dan,
The BC Units is our way or providing a sub-set of filters for a discounted price along the lines of “a la carte” shopping. The idea is that if an editor or compositor needs (for instance) a lens flare filter to complete a job but doesn’t really have a need (or budget) for the entire box set of filters then they can purchase just the Lens Flares as BC Lens Flare Unit. All of the BC Units are a sub-set of BCC 5 so if you already have BCC 5 then you already have all of the BC Units.
As William mentioned, all of this info is available on the company web site but I thought I’d just post this explanation just in case.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Peter.

October 10, 2008 at 2:45 pmI’m going off of email ads (newsletters) you are sending me. I looked all over them
and there isn’t anything that says these are part of the software
I already have. If I go to your web site, then yes, the opening paragraph explains it.Thanks,

October 10, 2008 at 2:51 pmHi Dan,
You are absolutely correct – the ad copy should have noted that this is a part of the shipping BCC 5 product and not a new product for those customers that already have BCC 5. Thanks for pointing this out – I’ll ask the person who wrote that copy to keep this in mind for future reference.
Thanks,
Peter.

October 20, 2008 at 10:27 pmCan I ask something else also, are these filters of Continuum Complete also included in Red 4.3? Or Continuum has some that are not included?
