  What’s the best way to bring in large dpi scans into AE?

  hi there

  basically i scan all my work in at 300 dpi so i can also use it for print and stuff, so basically when i bring it into ae its obviously much too big generally. i was just wondering if i have to save out everything of photoshop at a smaller lower size, or if there is any way of doing this? just because am i right in saying that bringing in a large image to AE and then scaling it down is still gonna mean longer render times than if it were the correct size to begin with?
