What’s considered “high mileage” on the HMC150?
I’m another one on this forum soon to get a Panasonic HMC150 (sold a bunch of stuff including my motorcycle).
Looking at some great deals for used. Some say 50 hours, 80 hours, 10 hours of use… for this solid state camera, what would really even be considered a red flag? No tape mechanism, so I’m thinking it almost doesn’t matter at all! Right?

Yeah not really- there’s no moving parts to wear out in terms of ‘mileage.’ I’d be on the lookout a lot more for general condition and how it was treated. Was it kept in a padded case? Is there cosmetic damage to the body? Does it hold focus throughout the zoom range? Is the tripod mounting hardware intact? Etc- those are the sorts of questions to be asking.
