  • What? A maximum “layer style stroke” size?

So I was finally happy with this awesome dazzling piece I made where a series of layers had strokes applied to them which were each set to grow from 0 to a size that fills the screen. The effective look was that each layer was radiating solid colors.

It looked great!…until I started to render. That’s when I realized that my comp view was on half-res, and that as soon as I put it to full, everything was wrong.

It seems that AE when in full res mode will not allow you to make a stroke larger than apx 300. But it looks fine in lower resolutions.

What is with that? How do I make it work or get around it with effects?

    Thanks

Not had any issue similar to yours BUT you may want to use Shape Layers instead of the Stroke effect. What you will need to do is to copy the Mask Path property and paste it onto a Shape Layer’s Path property.
