What would be the best approach for this animation? I want to do this transition. I will try to explain myself the best I can. In the shot there is a person sitting down on a couch, looking at a picture, and then we cut away to an over the shoulder shot of the persons hand holding the picture. We then cut back to the semi-long shot of the person sitting on the couch. Now here’s the tricky part, the person throws or flings the picture and it starts flying around in a natural moment until it hits the lens, full frame, and that is the transition to the rest of the video.

So with that said, what I am having a challenge with is the set up of the shot. Would it be more practical having the person gesturing a throw with nothing in the hand or should I have a green card and track the movement? Also, would the start of the animation of the picture flying be best shot at an over the shoulder angle cut into a long shot, or would it look more professional to not incorporate the over the shoulder angle and just shoot and animate everything in a long shot? Furthermore, I have tried a few tests in AE to get the organic movement of the wind for the flying picture. I was thinking that tracking wouldn’t work because I would have to rotate the picture in the X and Y and maybe the Z axis. I want to shot this in HD, so before I do this, I would appreciate some input. I need suggestions on what would be the best approach on shooting this animation.

just have em throw nothing and add it in.
A green card would only limit you and add time and work.
