Activity Forums Web Design (WordPress, Joomla, etc.) What Would Be Fair?

    Hi Everyone,

Up until now I’ve only tinkered with web design and motion graphics. Recently, an acquaintance of mine who owns a small business asked if I would take the job of updating his website regularly. I’d like to do it however, I am unsure as what to charge. I offered to barter but he says business is business and I could use the extra money (who couldn’t right?).

I know that he paid quite a bit of money to get the site going and the folks at Squarespace (yes Squarespace!) only set up basic pages with very little if any content. I just don’t have much of an idea as to what freelance web design folks charge for regular content updates, say once a month plus some photoshop graphics when necessary.

I’d appreciate any advice you can offer. Many thanks in advance.

    Hi,

Well best way to know how much you need to charge.
Offer this job to professionals and ask them how much they will charge.

And figured out from their quotes and keep in mind your skills. Further more you need to keep your charges lower than others.
