Which filter are you talking about in particular? A few are used.
The creator certainly used a beach bypass effect and quite a heavy vignette in places as well as some nice time remapping. Quite like BBC’s Top Gear in it’s overall appearance.
    All the best,
    Simon

Agreed, although I was going to say most looks like they used a film grain and also there were some dust and scratches filter in there as well.

There are quite a few effects in that video. Nicely done though

If you talking about the cars being in colour and the rest of the shot being in black and white, that is achieved with the 3-way colour correction and the limit colour twirl down option at the bottom of the graphical preference plane. Its a little difficult to explain typing, but its colour limit with 3-way colour correction filter.

If thats what part your talking about.

yea thats what i meant. its the bbc’s top gear look with the very dark contrast in the background yet the cars are very vivid. almost like HDR picture..

If you google you will prob find. Search for Colour Limit with 3 way colour correction FCP or something like that. If not lynda.com does a tutorial series for final cut which are really good and this is covered but I cant for the life of me remember what final cut title it was under. Those are not free btw.
