  • What to render video montage as?

I’m Using Vegas 5 and have built a video/audio/picture montage for a friend. I’m ready to render and get onto DVD authoring, but I can’t seem to find a type to render to that does not produce, in my opinion, poor video quality. I have tried .avi, wmv, and now mpeg2 – all at the highest quality settings, but am not satisfied with any results. Text is pixelated, vid is somewhat grainy with some formats… weird.

Sure, some of the pictures he supplied were a bit small, so some are a tad bit pixelated and such, but over all, it does look “good”.

I was just wondering what I should render something basic like this as… what’s a good go-to format all around?

    Thanks!

DVD = MPEG2 – that is your choice.

Now, the default MPEG2 renderer is BAD. Instead, use one of the DVD Architect presets. For more info, look at vol 1 #7 of my newsletters.
