Just got a new Sony SR12 and am new to AVCHD. No trouble importing and editing, but is there a way to render these files out as one video, to fit on a DVD with no quality loss and no rendering time ? I have played around with xvid et all and there is a pretty big quality loss…

Is there a avchd profile ???

    Best Regards,
    Randall

You can only use MPEG-2 on a DVD that is to be played in a DVD player so just use the NTSC or PAL DVD Architect template and your footage should look great.

If you want to make a DATA DVD with no quality loss you will need to use an HDV or AVC template with the same resolution and bitrate as the original footage. You will only get about 20 minutes of video before a standard DVD5 will become full.
