What to do with old manuals.
Posted by Scott Davis on August 17, 2007 at 4:46 pmBeen cleaning out a bunch of stuff and came across a bunch of old manuals (FCP 4, etc) What to do with them? Feel bad about just tossing them out.

There’s always eBay. But since no one READS the manuals, why would they buy them?

August 18, 2007 at 1:09 pmSome years ago a friend of mine published a very odd and weighty tome cale Two Thirds. A mutual friend came up with the ‘Two Thirds weightlifing kit’ as a solution to what to do with all the copies people might have lying around.
So with this in mind, I’d suggest a large wood drill bit and a length of broom handle. A judiciously placed hole in each manual and voila! Instant edit suite fitness – as soon as the render bar starts, begin reps. Admittedly octo users will, inevitably, be less fit than those soldiering on with G4s – but hey, that’s good for all slower Mac users. They’ll be really buff by the end of a year and Mac envy will be mitigated somewhat by their six-packs.
