  • What to do with archival newspaper article

    Hi all!

I work on a lot of historical non-fiction shows and use a lot of archival newspaper articles. Typically I just do a pan and zoom in after effects. I want to try something different, but not too time consuming. Has anyone out there come across an AE template that I could import the articles into to give them a different look within the show?

    Thanks

You could create some simple templates yourself – create a solid the size of your articles and precomp that. Make the precomp layer 3d and play with position in Z space and rotation on the Y axis. Once done, duplicate that comp in the Project window as many times as you need it (the number of articles) and use it in a master comp. You can tweak the duplicate comps to have small differences in the animation.
