Couldn’t find tape-based Panasonic forum to post. But I’m facing a dilemma w/ the AJ-SDX900 cam. Even it’s over 10 years old, taking the same 2/3″ HD lens over to this legacy body still produce pretty darn good picture. It has a unique look vs. their current 10-bit P2 AVC-I model. Low-light is incredibly good and clean. The colors are still rich even though it’s only 8-bit DVCPRO 50. Don’t know what to do with this cam really. Hate to salvage it. There are few situations where I still produce 480i despite the whole trend is going toward 4K. Just took this out to shoot a short local 30sec com and it’s pretty impressive vs the current 3100-3700 series. These cams on Ebay is dirt-cheap at $1K or less these days. Anybody has other uses for 480i cams?

Hang on to it for the occasional SD only job or just sell it or donate it to a school/college/church.

I’m sure it has made you some money over the years.

Can’t think of a good use for SD cams anymore…
