  • what to compress Apple OpenDML JPEG as?

Posted by Christina Rule on March 10, 2009 at 4:00 am

I captured a bunch of footage from an xbox during game play.

The format of the video files is
    .AVI
    Apple OpenDML JPEG,1280 x720, Millions
16-bit Integer, little endian, stereo 48 Khz
    59.94 FPS

I saw a previous post saying to use mpeg stream clip and export it out as DV. Obviously I am wanted to keep as much quality as I can but still be able to edit smoothly in FC… Im not sure what codec to export it as

any help would be great thanks!

    Hi Christina,
Use MPGStreamclip but don’t export as DV. You will get a DV Stream, the kind of files used by iMovie.
The best codec would be 8b Unc but this would made very files.
I would recommend you to capture ProRess.

Sorry Christina, I meant to export as Proress. That if you want to get the most quality from your XBOX files.
