  • What still image works faster?

I’m working with a MASSIVE image in AE (and I do need it to be a MASSIVE image), and I’m trying to figure out what I can I do to speed things up a little bit.
Do certain still image compressions like jpeg, tiff, png, psd, ect work better/faster? Which ones work faster?
I know jpegs are way smaller, does AE render them faster because they are smaller?
The jpeg is already 35MB and a tif is like 100GB and almost impossible to do anything with.

Is it better to break the image up into smaller chunks and then reassemble them in AE?

    Thanks,

    -Chad
