    Hi all,

Everywhere I go I read all these odd little things you have to do if you want Premiere to work on your computer. Scares me quite frankly as I don’t know a ton about START menu stuff, etc. Used to just be able to install and run but not anymore I guess and I know this from personal experience on 2 machines.

Trying Dell instead of HP i7, 2.66 gig, 6 gig RAM, ATI 4760 512 (web says compatible but not on Adobe’s list). 650 gig hard drive plus 2TB external SATA.

I want to start editing in HDV as people are asking for Blue Ray.

Thanks for any thoughts or links.

    Best,

    Todd

Make sure you have two internal drives. One for the OS and one for A/V. External drives are for storage not for editing.

    Even SATA?

I’m pretty sure that SATA is SATA whether it’s internal or external. Maybe I’m wrong?

Thanks. What I am looking for is more….startup menus, incompatible programs?
