I am trying to integrate a cg shot in a movie that was shot on Standard Definition (mini-DV) in the 16:9 anamorphic mode.
    (not HD)

Any idea what output resolution I should select?

FYI: I normally use 720×486 D1 NTSC but, this is going to look to
    ‘square’ I think.

There is no live action going on here, just a pure cg video clip that needs to be in the right shape.

    thanks in advance,

    TH

probably other opinions on this but i prefer to work/render in C4d at 864×486 or 853×480 with pixel aspect set to 1:1 for square pixels rather than working in C4d with anamorphic pixel settings. if going to widescreen dvd i use the 853×480, some editors want the 486 vertical size. the anamorphic resize can be easily done when the c4d movie is imported into your edit or compositing application.
