The majority of my project is HDV footage (70 hours total).
    -50 Hrs HDV Shot on Sony V1U@24P (1440 x 1080)
    -20 Hrs HDV Shot on Sony Z1U@30i (1440 x 1080)

I know I can convert the HDV footage to native apple pro rez 422 but I don’t want to spend forever transcoding. I have already been working with the HDV footage in doing stringouts and selects as well. I also have other types of footage that I will be throwing in my timeline like the following.

Cannon 5D footage (15 hours total)
    -7 Hrs@30P (1920 x 1080) H.264 Codec
    -8 Hrs@24P (1920 x 1080) H.264 Codec

    SD Footage
    -8 Hrs DigiBeta
    -6 Hrs Mini-DV

As far as editing my documentary film, the majority of it will be cuts and dissolves only. What timeline should I be using as far as sequence settings? Ultimately, this will be mastered to HDCAM SR. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

    thank you.

I’d leave the HDV as HDV…just edit it into a ProRes timeline. It will do good there. But Dave has you right on the other points.

In the future, avoid shooting multiple frame rates. That is a BAD IDEA. Mixing frame rates, not matter what Apple Marketting says, doesn’t go well in FCP.
