I’ve got an opportunity to bring on some corporate business and was wondering what plug-ins I would need to achieve the “look and feel” of this video.

I’ve seen other post that talk about Boris Graffiti and Prodad, but was wondering if those programs ALONE would be able to do this, or are there also other plug-ins needed.

    Any advice would be helpful.

You really can do all that in Vegas without any plugins Marlen.
BUT, i must tell you, it takes a lot of time and a creative mind.
That’s why we charge the big bucks….lol
Did a project like that just the other day with mostly just keyframes.

Odds are that was done in After Effects. Very expensive and very steep learning curve.

Thanks Steven – I’ve tinkered with AE and agree with both the price and the learning curve. I was hoping there was a program that would simplify this…

Thanks Steve. I’ve done some of this type of work with Keyframes, but holy cow it took forever! And it was only for a few seconds video. I’m afraid that approach isn’t “scalable” for what I’d like to do.

I was hoping to find some “simpler” solution so I could keep costs down for what I charge. The time it takes would kill the project for where I’m at right now. Perhaps I just need to “Learn faster” :^)

That might have actually just been done with Adobe Flash and since Flash has pre-canned motions for text flying in and out, it might not have been that difficult.

I wonder if Scattershot from Vasst might be able to make something close?

    hello –

I’m still looking for a solution to create the type of titling I referenced earlier in the this thread. I asked in another thread if Boris Graffiti 6 was compatible with Sony Vegas Pro 10 – and the response was “yes”. My question now is can Graffiti 6 accomplish a similar treatment of text as the video I linked to above, or would I be better off upgrading to SVP11 with New Blue Titler? or neither and do something else?

I’m hoping since the last time we talked about this, that something may have surfaced to address this kind of text generation.

P.S. I did look at Scattershot and liked the effects, but wasn’t sure if that would be applicable for text generation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Boris Graffiti 6 can probably do all of this. I have RED and haven’t looed at Graffiti 6 yet, so I’m not sure how much is in Graffiti but you should have 3D containers and motion blur which will allow you to manipulate the text the way you want. It will be a lot easier to do this in Graffiti then Vegas. I would download the trial and find out for yourself.

Thanks John. I`ll give Graffitti 6 trial a look. I was hesitiant to download any trials unless I was sure it was close to what I was looking for. I’ll work with the 3D comtainers and motion blur to see if those will do the trick.
