50% cut on MC price and EOL for Avid Xpress Pro.
Next move… ???
Maybe ..
EOL of Adrenaline..
Support for 3rd party cards such as Kona..
or a AJA type product at ‘AVID’ price…

Didn’t you post this exact question (called “Feburary Gone” below on this forum) ?
I am not aware of any “secret” news about AVID OEM’ing the AJA or Blackmagic products for Media Composer. If this is going to happen, it is a top secret, and anyone revealing this on a public forum, would be traced back to an employee at AVID, and probably fired.
With that said, I would faint if there was an OEM deal with AJA for a card that works with Media Composer (instead of the Adreanline box). EVEN THOUGH AVID is already OEM’ing the Xena card for the Nitris – in my opinin, this will NOT happen for Media Composer – certainly not at this NAB.
