What Mac Specs are Most Important for Fast Compressing?
What are the most important specs on a Mac to enable compressing (with Compressor) in as little time as possible? Does one want to spend money on a fast processor? RAM?
We’re buying a Mac that will be dedicated to compressing programs to put up online and want to know where best to put the dollars spent on the computer.

Processor. Get an Octo core Mac with as fast processors as you can, then learn how to activate QMASTER to utilize all those processors, and Compressor will fly.
And if you need to go to H.264 or BluRay, look at COMPRESS HD from Matrox.
